1. The Service
Walkie Walkie is offline mesh communication software. It uses device radios (e.g. Bluetooth, local Wi‑Fi) so nearby phones can exchange messages without a cellular or internet connection. Range and reliability depend on hardware, environment, and how many devices participate.
2. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for lawful purposes. You may not reverse engineer except where allowed by law, resell the app as your own product without permission, or use it to harm others.
3. No emergency guarantee
Critical: The app is not a certified emergency services system (not a replacement for 911 / local emergency numbers). Mesh delivery is best-effort. Always use official emergency channels when available.
4. Acceptable use
- No illegal content, harassment, or abuse over the mesh
- No attempts to disrupt others’ devices or radios beyond normal mesh participation
- No impersonation intended to defraud
- Comply with local radio and privacy laws
5. Your content
You are responsible for content you transmit. Because traffic can traverse peer devices, only send what you are comfortable sharing in a proximity network.
6. Third-party services
The website may be hosted by Cloudflare. The app may use device OS services (Bluetooth stack, notifications). Their terms may also apply.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR SAFETY OUTCOMES ARISING FROM USE OF THE SERVICE.
9. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.
10. Changes & termination
We may update the app and these Terms. Continued use after changes means acceptance. We may suspend distribution of builds that pose security or legal risk.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the operator’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer laws in your country say otherwise.
