1. Who we are
This policy describes the Walkie Walkie mobile application and the website walkie.online (the “Service”), operated for the EchoMesh X offline mesh project. Contact: privacy@walkie.online or support@walkie.online.
2. What we do not collect on servers
The mobile app is designed without a required user account, email login, or central message server. We do not operate an EchoMesh cloud that stores your conversations for advertising profiles.
3. Data stored on your device
- Mesh identity (display name, cryptographic keys)
- Contacts you pair (e.g. via QR)
- Messages, threads, channels, voice notes, files you keep
- Optional medical profile for SOS (only if you enable it)
- Local preferences (relay, fonts, field mode)
- Local diagnostic logs on your device
4. Data shared over the mesh (local radios)
When you use features, the app may transmit packets to nearby devices using Bluetooth and/or local Wi‑Fi networking (not via walkie.online servers):
- Chat, channel, voice, and file content you choose to send
- Presence (display name, status)
- Location if you share a pin or send SOS with location
- Call signaling for offline voice/video attempts
Devices that relay traffic may forward encrypted packets they cannot read when encryption applies. Anyone in radio range with compatible software may observe that mesh traffic exists.
5. Website (walkie.online)
Our marketing and legal site is hosted on Cloudflare. Standard server logs (IP, user agent, pages visited) may be processed by the host for security and reliability. See also our Cookies notice. We do not use advertising cookies on this site today.

7. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13. Do not use the app to collect children’s data.
8. Security
We use on-device cryptography for identity and message payloads where implemented. No system is perfectly secure. Radio-range observers and compromised devices remain risks. See Security.
9. Your choices & deletion
Uninstall the app to remove local app data (subject to OS behavior). Step-by-step: Delete your data.
10. Ads & analytics
The app does not show ads today and does not include third-party ad SDKs in the current build. If that changes, we will update this policy and the Ads disclosure before shipping.
11. International users
Mesh traffic is local to devices around you. The website may be served from global edge locations (Cloudflare).
12. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will update the “Last updated” date and this page at walkie.online.
